Pre-K Eligibility
Little Elm ISD offers full-day, traditional Pre-Kindergarten to students who are at least 4 years old by September 1 of the current school year and meet at least one of the following criteria:
Child may be non-English or Limited English Proficient (subject to testing) - More Information on Limited English Proficient Qualification
Child may be eligible based on income (must meet free/reduced lunch eligibility guidelines) - More information on Free/Reduced Lunch Qualification
Be homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.S. Section 1143a, regardless of the residence of the child, or either parent of the child, or of the child's guardian or other person having lawful control of the child - More information on Homelessness Qualification
Be the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority - More information on a parent's membership in the Armed Forces Qualification
Be the child of an armed forces member who was injured or killed while on active duty - More information a parent's membership in the Armed Forces Qualification
Be in, or have been in, the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code - More information on Foster Care Qualification
Be the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as: a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code; a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code - More information on Star of Texas Award Qualification
